About
MY BACKGROUND
With a passion for programming, psychology, leadership, and user-centered design, I have a unique blend necessary for being a great front-end developer and UX designer. I am a junior at Purdue University from San Diego, CA studying UX Design with a minor in Psychology and emphasis in Entrepreneurship. Some of my key strengths are being disciplined and hard-working, empathetic, and futuristic. I also am a great communicator, know how to tackle complex problems, and a great team worker and leader.

I started off with love and excitement for computer science and the many opportunities with programming which led me to front-end web design and eventually UX. During high school, I participated in Girls Who Code where I learned about all types of technology-related fields and was able to explore and grow my love for website design and being a great team leader. From this experience, I also hope to get more young women interested in computer science and UX design.

During my time as a student at Purdue, I have had experience working on projects with Garmin International, ABB Group, and most recently, I co-led a project team working with UEGroup on secret communication. I have also worked on other project groups, expanding my experience and knowledge ranging from website and mobile development to research and design. This past semester I have had the opportunity to work as an undergraduate research assistant working with Ford Motor Company on a project lifecycle management and software re-design project.

Upon completing my degree, I hope to be a UX designer specializing in project management and front-end development, including prototyping, wireframing, and interaction design. Some fields and areas that I am especially drawn to are healthcare, energy, planetary science, and diversity and inclusion.
Beyond the classroom, I enjoy running, traveling, cooking, sailing, and playing with my 3 dogs.
